The County Recorder is a constitutional officer of the county elected for a four year term. The Recorder may only serve eight years in a 12 year period.
The Parke County Recorder is responsible for the following functions:
- Preserving public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, leases, bankruptcy notices, articles of incorporation, etc.

The Parke County Recorder office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. EST
