The County Recorder is a constitutional officer of the county elected for a four year term. The Recorder may only serve eight years in a 12 year period.
The Parke County Recorder is responsible for the following functions:
- Preserving public records, including deeds, mortgages, leins, leases, bankruptcy notices, articles of incorporation, etc.
